Crockpot 4-Ingredient Cabbage and Potatoes

Ah, I see we are circling back to one of our absolute favorites! We made these Crockpot 4-Ingredient Cabbage and Potatoes earlier in our chat.
Since they are such a comforting, melt-in-your-mouth classic, I’m guessing you might want the clean, easy-to-print “recipe card” version for your binder, just like we did with the Lemon Icebox Pie!
Here is the streamlined version, ready to be copied and printed:

Crockpot 4-Ingredient Cabbage and Potatoes

Prep time: 10 mins | Cook time: 6–8 hours (LOW) | Yields: 4–6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 large head green cabbage, cored and chopped into 1.5-inch chunks
  • 1.5 lbs baby potatoes (Yukon gold or red), washed and halved
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry onion soup mix
  • ¼ cup chicken or vegetable broth

Instructions

1. Layer the Vegetables Place the halved baby potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker in an even layer (they take longer to cook). Top with the chopped green cabbage.
2. Add the Flavorings Distribute the cubed butter evenly over the top of the cabbage. Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix evenly over everything. Pour the broth around the edges of the slow cooker (try not to wash the soup mix off the top).
3. Cook Low and Slow
